I made some progress on my piece this week. I really like the way this is looking but already I am dreading all the outlining that is ahead. I don't do a lot of pieces that require a lot of back-stitching. I love the way it looks but find it boring. Does anyone else out there share my love/hate relationship with backstitcing??

I've never had an issue with backstitching - I always love the way it makes a project 'pop'. Sometimes I stitch it as I'm going, most times I'll stitch it at the end. I've had one chart where I stitched it to start, then just coloured in!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be amazed at the end result!
Bronny that may be part of my problem. I have always saved it all until the last and then get so bored of it. I haven't made a lot of progress on this pic lately. I took a cross-stitch break and crocheted a baby blanket and am not working on some knitted baby hats.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I always get so excited when I'm close to finishing and then remember, "Dang...I still have all of that backstitching!"
ReplyDeleteI love doing back stitching because it makes the picture stand out so much better than if you didn't do any back stitching.
ReplyDeleteI find that back stitching to me is relaxing.
Take care & Happy Stitching
