I made some progress on my piece this week. I really like the way this is looking but already I am dreading all the outlining that is ahead. I don't do a lot of pieces that require a lot of back-stitching. I love the way it looks but find it boring. Does anyone else out there share my love/hate relationship with backstitcing??

  1. I've never had an issue with backstitching - I always love the way it makes a project 'pop'. Sometimes I stitch it as I'm going, most times I'll stitch it at the end. I've had one chart where I stitched it to start, then just coloured in!
You'll be amazed at the end result!

  2. Bronny that may be part of my problem. I have always saved it all until the last and then get so bored of it. I haven't made a lot of progress on this pic lately. I took a cross-stitch break and crocheted a baby blanket and am not working on some knitted baby hats.

  3. I know what you mean. I always get so excited when I'm close to finishing and then remember, "Dang...I still have all of that backstitching!"

  4. I love doing back stitching because it makes the picture stand out so much better than if you didn't do any back stitching.

I find that back stitching to me is relaxing.

    Take care & Happy Stitching
